Welcome to Château Blanat
Nestled in the Dordogne valley, at the heart of the former Viscounty of Turenne, near Rocamadour, just an hour from Sarlat in Périgord, and close proximity to 10 of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France,” this 15th-century castle sits majestically atop a hill at the end of a scenic forest path.
It is the perfect destination for vacations, family gatherings, or private celebrations, blending historic elegance with luxurious comfort for an unforgettable, timeless experience.
Explore a region celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes, remarkable architecture, regional cuisine, and countless charming sites. Play a round at one of the four golf courses located less than 40 minutes from the château. Or simply relax in this extraordinary setting.
You will cherish its peaceful ambiance, refined lifestyle, and the excellence of its attentive service by the owners. English spoken.
A longing to get away
From the terrace, you can admire the sweeping hills of Haut-Quercy, including Puy d’Issolud, which is thought to be the site of Julius Caesar’s very final battle during the Gallic Wars..
A stroll through the park, the castle’s three towers – construction began in 1453 – the medieval hall, and the vaulted cellar, designed for tastings of local specialties, reveal a history that spans a thousand years.
This tranquil sanctuary, which has endured through the centuries and welcomed artists such as Nino Ferrer for the recording of his self-titled album “Blanat,” has been lovingly restored to provide a peaceful retreat for guests seeking an unforgettable experience in a truly exceptional setting.
The inviting, spacious, and uniquely appointed suites and rooms are thoughtfully equipped to ensure your utmost comfort.
A delightful place to call home
As inviting as your room is, you’ll also enjoy spending quality time with friends or family around the pool table, soaking in the cozy atmosphere of the castle bar with its piano, or relaxing with a good book in one of the park’s comfortable armchairs.
Bask in the sun by the 15x5m heated pool, where the terrace is lined with plush deckchairs that invite you to unwind and relax.
